The Keeper (2009)
Director: Keoni Waxman
Writer: Paul A. Birkett
Cast: Steven Seagal, Liezl Carstens, Arron Shiver
MPAA Rating: R

Synopsis: A retired police officer is hired to protect his old friend's sexy daughter from a group of opportunistic kidnappers.

Thoughts: Steven Seagal continues to impress with the direct-to-video thriller The Keeper, a film that shares multiple similarities with Tony Scott's violent 2004 outing Man on Fire. Action sequences are solid, the acting is as wooden as your grandmother's teeth, and Seagal shamelessly flirts with a woman that could easily pass for his daughter. Creepy, but the aikido madness keeps your gag reflex in check. Mostly.
